Postcard App Reviews
disappointing
Very basic, you could do this in a word processor. Overpriced compared to other options.
I am so HAPPY that Ive found this application again!! Thank-you Steve Dekorte! PS I’d lost my original from way back and thought I’d never get it back. Check out some of the other very useful Apps by Steve - you might truly be amazed. :) (Yosemite 10.10.3 Mini 2012 i7)
This is a very nice idea and the App may be very useful if some features are added: - A zoom and placement features (now only full photo is visible so for landscape photos there are empty spaces above and below the photo) - Tilt would be a nice addition - Choosing font - Full screen view leaves the small photo lonely in a corner. This should be corrected. There are more but the above will improve the App by much. Thanks
Not sure what Im missing here. All I can do so far is drag a picture into the postcard and adjust the text. I cant figure out the sidebar that gives options for stamps(no stamp so far) and on the Postcard Support website I see a bottom bar that looks like it lets me send the postcard, which I cant seem to do either. You either need to provide more instruction on how to use this, make it more obvious in the program, or provide and update. I just paid $9.99 for an app that I cant seem to figure out. I just followed the "usage" instructions and this app appears to be nothing more than pasting a pic into your email with some text written next to it. The "Open Postcard in Apple Mail" command doesnt work. If I can get some info on how to use this the correct way, Ill adjust my review.
This is a simple app that lets you create a postcard style image using two pictures you can select. The first image is the main image and the second image is used for the stamp. The image on the stamp is the cool feature. Even though this sounds simple, I cant find another app to do this so it is very useful. I use it to send out a christmas postcard, among other things. For whatever reason the other apps that try do this are not conducive to e-mail. I will say the documentation is a little weak in that I could not figure out how to resize the image. But overall a good single task app.
This is a very weak app; very weak. It is not worth $4.99. First, it is incredible simple and lacking in functions. Second, what little it does do, it does weakly. Function : You can drag a photo into Postcard and then add some short, postcard type text. Then you can copy to clipboard and paste the result into an email message in your favourite email tool. Apart from the cute postage stamp image, you can do all this in your own email tool, e.g. Apple Mail. Weak : even this simple app has a bug. If you use the save postcard as image function, then the saved image includes an image of the edit cursor. It looks very odd and unpolished. Overall : My 100kB image + short text ballooned to a 800kB email. There is no reason for this; I gave up with this simplistic and useless app and simply formatted an email and attached my own images. Dont buy this waste of time app. I was fooled by the 4+ rating. I wasted $4.99 buying it and then wasted 20 mins figuring out it was junk with little functionality and no author support.
Clever App
A fun, easy way to create and send a "postcard." It needs a little refinement but its a simple way to send a creative, unusual message.
Customised eCards
Lovely way to make customised postcards. All you need is two pictures and your message. Awesome. Thanks.
This is fun, easy and an amazing app to create postcards and send it through email. There is a lot of ways to show creativity and customize it for different purposes. It works great!
